2015 SummitVine Cabernet Sauvignon

93 Points. James Laube, Wine Spectator

A classic Diamond Mountain Cabernet from our Estate Vineyards high above Napa Valley!

$72.00 per Bottle
$864.00 | $777.60 per Case

The Diamond Mountain District is located in northwestern Napa Valley in the Mayacamas Mountains. Located 1750 feet above The Valley floor, the steep slopes of SummitVine Ranch allowed us only 6 of the meager 550 acres planted to vines in this highly revered AVA. With our porous volcanic soils and high-elevation climate, our vines produce distinctive earthy flavors, wrapped around rich, opulent and beautifully integrated tannins.

Tasting Notes

Our 2015 Cabernet catches your eye right away with its deep garnet red color and the nose is classic Diamond Mountain with red cherry, tobacco and caramel. In tasting the wine, it is rich and complex with great depth of flavors. Along with spice, this wine has notes of blackberry, cassis, black cherry, rhubarb and a hint of Diamond Mountain earth. With its wonderful mouth feel, It has a long, lingering finish that ends with a touch of caramel. The plush, beautifully integrated tannins make this wine so approachable now and will provide pleasure through 2032. Still in its youth, we recommend opening one hour before serving.
